The HappyHap Project

We blog about projects that amaze us and share the "HappyHap spirit"; i.e. spread happiness and make a positive difference in the world. We also post videos that are likely to make you smile and once in a while a mindful quote. It's a constantly evolving wall of inspiration and a tool-kit to make happiness happen everywhere!

JOIN US TODAY FOR WORLD HAPPY DAY!

Today is World Happy Day and thousands of people are joining together in communities all over the world to watch the film Happy. Screenings are taking place at over 600 locations in 60 countries across all 7 continents.

Happy is an inspiring documentary from Academy Award nominated director Roko Belic (Genghis Blues) that aims to discover what really makes us happy. It takes the audience from the bayous of Louisianato the deserts of Namibia, from the beaches of Brazil to the villages of Okinawa, to explore the secrets behind our most valued emotion.

Last October, The HappyHap Project team interviewed film director Roko Belic who we asked to comment on the movement which he hopes to inspire through his documentary: “It’s a movement comprised of people from all walks of life who recognize that we can all lead better, healthier, more fulfilled and more sustainable lives if we focus on what really matters to us. The movement is carried by business people, artists, students, journalists, parents and everyone who wants to consciously improve their own happiness and the happiness of their family, community and the world.”

Screenings of Happy are being supported by The HappyHap Project, a student organization at Yale University that undertakes creative projects to promote a more optimistic campus.
